California passes a bill that could be game-changer in the Massage and spa world!

In a move to resolve controversies and lawsuits over compensating piece-rate workers, California passed an update to the Piece-rate legislation section of the Labor Code 9AB1513), which went into effect January 2016. This piece of legislation has the potential to be a game-changer for massage professionals, especially those working for large clinics as a commission or contract employee.

Alcohol Decreased Disability from wide spread chronic pain! When it sounds too good to be true...

Those experiencing wide-spread pain, such as caused by Fibromyalgia, have a new friend. In a study of 2239 people with chronic widespread pain in the UK, those participants who drank a moderate amount of alcohol had less disability than those who did not drink- by a significant margin of 67%. Doesn’t this press release sound like something too good to be true? Well, maybe.
